Eligibility Screener

This position holds accountability for conducting telephonic screener services to Medicare Advantage beneficiaries enrolled in a BeneLynk contracted Medicare Advantage plan. The Screener representative   makes outbound telephone calls and handles inbound telephone calls to pre-qualify MA plan members for several different SDOH programs including, Medicaid, Medicare Savings Programs, SNAP, LIS, etc..

Essential Responsibilities

  • Meet production/departmental goals by conducting telephonic outreach activities to review and assess MA plan member’s eligibility for Medicaid and Social programs.
  • Meet daily, weekly and monthly production goals. Meet monthly conversion percentages of total caseload converting from Queue to Potentially Eligible, outbound contacts to outbound interviews, inbound contacts to inbound interviews. Also maintain proper percentage of caseload dispositions (i.e., Not-Interested).
  • Maintain caseload management of assigned member files and follow-up with members within the established timeframes.
    Meet quality standards by ensuring proper phone etiquette and adherence to scripts, have accurate and descriptive case documentation and proper disposition of cases.
  • Review and analyze incoming MA plan member correspondence and/or inquiries for the purposes of transferring the most qualified cases to the Advocate Unit.
  • Maintenance of incoming correspondence and/or inquiries from BENELYNK Outreach initiatives.
  • Conduct follow-up activities for processed correspondence and/or inquiries from BENELYNK Outreach initiatives
  • Maintain current knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements to adhere to strict compliance of all aspects of BENELYNK’s Outreach Operations.
  • Participate as required in BENELYNK’s staff and operational development programs. Be a team player and communicate openly and honestly.
  • Demonstrate behaviors, actions, and attitude that reflect BENELYNK’s vision, mission and values.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Education – High School or General Education Degree.
  • Experience – Demonstrated experience with direct consumer interaction and telephone sales experience. Demonstrated application of persuasion and ability to engage individuals over the phone; data entry and related computer skills.
  • Language Skills – Excellent oral communication skills; ability to communicate with elderly individuals. bi-lingual (English & Spanish) preferred
  • Reasoning Ability – Ability to analyze and interpret governmental program criteria; ability to interact and decipher information via telephonic or correspondence inquires.

Advocate

This position holds accountability for conducting telephonic outreach services and assisting low-income Medicare beneficiaries enrolled in a contracted Managed Care Organization Medicare Advantage health plan, with the qualification and application process for Medicare Savings Programs/Medicaid.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake services from incoming correspondence and/or telephonic inquiries consisting of analyzing and assessment of state Medicaid eligibility criteria into Medicare Savings Programs/Medicaid.
  • Conduct telephonic outreach activities for initial, follow-up, and/or special projects including the analysis and assessment of state Medicaid eligibility criteria into Medicare Savings Programs/ Medicaid.
  • Meet daily, weekly and monthly production goals. Meet monthly conversion percentages of total caseload converting from Potentially Eligible status to In-Progress, In-Progress to Pending and Pending to Approved.
  • Maintain caseload management of assigned member files.
  • Meet quality standards by ensuring proper phone etiquette and adherence to scripts, have accurate and descriptive Lynk 360 documentation and proper disposition of cases.
  • Serve as a liaison between assigned member cases and state Medicaid administration personnel.
  • Conduct follow-up activities for processed applications with state Medicaid administration personnel.
  • Maintain current knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements to adhere to strict compliance of all aspects of BeneLynk’s operations.
  • Participate as required in BeneLynk’s staff and operational development programs. Be a team player and communicate openly and honestly.

Recertification Advocate

This position holds accountability for conducting telephonic outreach services and assisting low-income Medicare beneficiaries enrolled in a BeneLynk contracted Medicare Advantage (MA) plan. The Recert Advocate makes outbound telephone calls and handles inbound telephone calls to assist Medicare beneficiaries with the recertification process for their Medicare Savings Programs/Medicaid.
